Finnair Singapore is proud to have organized a Football Fiesta for youngsters as part of our efforts in Corporate Social Responsibility. It was a pleasure to receive great responses from the over 100 participants that the session has been an enjoyable one with new friendships forged! While the kids were actively taking part in the fiesta, their parents also had their share of fun participating in the Football Clinic, allowing them to have a better understanding of how this fiesta helps in the kid’s learning of football from grassroots level. Finnair’s greatest thanks and appreciation go out to all our sponsors, SATS, Ovaltine, Senses AVL and our venue partner GEMS World Academy (Singapore), in making this event happen. We look forward to another successful session in the coming year.
Finnair – the Official Airline of Santa Claus since the 80’s – has flown Father Christmas to Singapore and organized a four-day festive campaign, where the original Santa spread joy, goodwill and Christmas cheers across Singapore between 5 to 8 December.
Upon touch down at Changi Airport, Santa had a meet-and-greet with the public, where he made rounds across the arrival hall. As a special treat for lucky Finnair customers, a special appearance by Santa took place in the evening at Finnair check-in area to mingle with passengers taking the night flight out to Helsinki, handing out piparkakut (traditional Finnish gingerbread cookies) for a cherished taste of Finland.
Santa has also paid special visits to the inaugural Nordic-Asia Christmas Festival, where Christmas came early for the shoppers at Millenia Walk. Here, Finnair has its own Finnair Christmas Challenge video booth, where shoppers are encouraged to answer the question “What Would You Give Away to Get Away?” and stand to win a pair of tickets to the Nordics. With many photo opportunities with Santa, kid-friendly activities were also planned throughout the festival, keeping the young ones entertained.
Other highlights in Finnair’s four-day festive campaign in Singapore with Santa Claus include joining the Embassy of Finland for a celebration of Finnish Independence Day, participating in the Finnair Football Fiesta community event, spending time with the schools kids at GEMS World Academy Kindergarten and the Overseas Family School, and making the holidays extra special for the children at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
