Changes in rules

The Annual General meeting approved the suggested changes to FBC rules:

  • Finnish Supplementary School (Suomi-koulu)
    • the Finnish Supplementary School (FSS, Suomi-koulu) will separate from the Finnish Business Council
    • Going forward it will be administered under SiSu(FAS, Finnish Association in Singapore).
    • FSS and FAS have great synergies and possibility to greatly benefit from tighter collaboration
  • Simplification of the process for selecting the Board:
    • Starting from AGM 2020, at each AGM up to nine members of the Board to be elected by the Corporate Members
    • The newly elected Board will choose who will act as Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer
    • At least half of the Board Members are to be representatives of Corporate Members
